The Calgary Police Service has now identified the victim of Sunday’s homicide in northeast Calgary as Manpreet Kaur, a 25-year-old resident of the city. Police responded to reports of a woman in medical distress at a home in the 100 block of Redstone Common Northeast at around 9:20 a.m. on Sunday. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy completed on Tuesday confirmed Kaur’s identity. A man who was initially taken into custody has since been released, and no charges have been laid. The investigation is still ongoing, and police are asking for the public’s assistance in gathering information related to the incident.
