Tragic Loss: Two Indian Students Killed in Arizona Crash

The tragic event occurred near Lake Pleasant, Arizona, when two Indian students, Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi, lost their lives in a head-on collision. The 19-year-olds, who hailed from Telangana, were international students at Arizona State University. According to police, the fatal accident took place on April 20th around 6:18 pm on Castle Hot Springs Road, north of State Route 74.

Investigations reveal that the collision involved a white 2024 Kia Forte driven by Mukka and Parsi, and a red 2022 Ford F150. Tragically, Mukka and Parsi succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle they were in sustained serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, while the driver of the other car, who was the sole occupant, also received serious injuries and was later released.

The Peoria Police Department has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collision. They expressed their heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families and acknowledged the support provided by bystanders during this tragic incident. The Arizona State University’s International Students and Scholars Center is actively working with the dean of students, counseling services, and housing representatives to identify student groups, friends, and roommates of the victims to offer necessary support during this difficult time.
