An aircraft crash in Mount Beauty, Victoria, Australia, has tragically resulted in the deaths of two individuals. The incident took place on Saturday, January 21st, 2023, when the aircraft went down over Embankment Drive at approximately 1:45 p.m. local time. According to Victoria Police, the plane was a powered glider, and the pilot and passenger were the only occupants on board.
Both the pilot and the passenger, whose identities have not yet been formally confirmed, were pronounced dead at the scene. The Country Fire Authority (CFA) issued a statement indicating that the incident was deemed under control at 2:13 p.m. and safe at 3:34 p.m. Emergency service crews remained on the scene for an extended period to ensure the safety of the area.
