Train operations in the Sonpur division of the Indian Railways were disrupted on Wednesday following a derailment incident. Four wagons of a mechanical rake came off the tracks near point number 67 of the Narayanpur Anant yard, causing significant delays and disruptions.
To address the situation, Accident Relief Trains were swiftly dispatched from Sonpur, Samastipur, and Barauni to the derailment site. These specialized trains are equipped with the necessary resources and personnel to handle such emergencies and restore train services as quickly as possible.
As a result of the derailment, 13 trains have been diverted to alternate routes, while three trains have been partially terminated, meaning they will operate only up to a certain point before being halted. The exact duration of the disruption remains unclear, and authorities are working diligently to restore normal train operations.
