Travelzoo, the club for travel enthusiasts, has appointed Matt Epstein as Chief Transformation Officer. Based in New York City, he will join the global executive team to drive new developments for Travelzoo® membership. Mr. Epstein will start his role on June 12, transitioning from his current position as Vice President of Walmart+, where he focused on member experience, care, and retention. Prior to Walmart, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Streaming Business at SiriusXM Radio from 2018 to 2022. From 2011 to 2018, he held various business development and management roles at Amazon, including positions in Worldwide Prime, Prime Music, and Fresh divisions. He earned his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business. As a key incentive for Mr. Epstein, and in line with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5635(c)(4), the Travelzoo board’s compensation committee has approved the grant of an option to purchase 100,000 shares of the company’s common stock at the NASDAQ closing price on his start date. The option will vest annually over four years, contingent on Mr. Epstein’s continued employment, and will expire in five years.
