Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, recently expressed his excitement about discussing a 2012 episode of ‘Punk’d’ where his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was the victim of a prank. During the latest episode of his podcast, ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,’ Kelce and his brother, Jason, hosted comedian and actor Andrew Santino.
Santino, who was involved in the prank, revealed that the episode featured Justin Bieber as the host and detailed how Swift was tricked into setting off fireworks off the back of a Malibu house. He explained that Bieber had purportedly returned from Japan and invited Swift to his house to set off fireworks.
Kelce laughed upon hearing the recollection of the prank and expressed his desire to ask Swift about it. Santino emphasized that the incident was staged for the TV show and should not be taken seriously. He stated, ‘My favorite part about this, by the way, when this clip resurfaced, people were like, that’s so mean. This is crazy. It’s like, this is fake. It’s a TV show.’
The episode in question has resurfaced and sparked discussions online, with some viewers expressing concern about the prank’s perceived cruelty. However, it is important to remember that ‘Punk’d’ is a comedy show that relies on pranks for entertainment purposes, and the incidents depicted are not intended to cause genuine harm.
