According to PEOPLE magazine, an insider close to Travis Kelce revealed that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end heard the songs from Taylor Swift’s album, The Tortured Poets Department, before its release. Speaking of the NFL star’s reaction to the tracks ahead of their April 19 release, the source spilled, ‘He is always in awe of her.’
Amid the highly anticipated release of Swift’s album, TTPD, the artist announced a second installment of her album titled, The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. Released within two hours after the launch of her first album, the ‘2am surprise’ featured 15 additional songs.
Two tracks from the entirety of the TTPD project seem to be a nod to her relationship with Kelce. In her song, The Alchemy, from Swift’s first album, she uses football references as a nod to her boyfriend. Meanwhile in her song, So High School, from the second album, Taylor Swift sings about a newfound love feeling ‘so high school’ referencing one of Travis Kelce’s old interviews featuring a kiss, marry and kill game.
