Trevolution Group, a global leader in the travel industry operating major brands like ASAP Tickets, Skylux Travel, Oojo, Triplicity, and Dreamport, has announced a significant milestone in the first half of 2024. The company sold over 54,000 airline tickets to and from India, representing a 46% market growth compared to the same period last year. This surge firmly establishes India as the top destination for international airline passengers, particularly in the leisure tourism and visiting-friends-and-relatives (VFR) sectors.
India has long been a favored destination for international travelers, and the current demand for transpacific flights has significantly exceeded pre-pandemic levels. As travel confidence grows and economic conditions improve, outbound tourism from India has witnessed remarkable growth. Enhanced flight connectivity is attracting more international travelers to India, with cities like Hyderabad, Delhi, and Mumbai experiencing a notable 31% growth from H1 2023.
Trevolution Group’s recent data reveals that Hyderabad alone accounted for 15% of all flight tickets sold to and from major Indian airports over the past six months.
