TrinaTracker, a leading provider of smart solar tracker solutions, has achieved significant success in the Latin American market. According to global energy data analyst Wood Mackenzie, TrinaTracker ranked third in solar trackers shipped to Latin America in 2023. The company shipped approximately 1.8GW of solar trackers, securing a 14% share of the regional market.
Two key projects in Brazil have significantly contributed to TrinaTracker’s presence in the region: the 520MW Santa Luzia complex in Paraiba state and the 210MW Mauriti photovoltaic complex in Ceara state. Both projects feature TrinaTracker’s smart tracking system, including the Vanguard 1P tracker and the SuperTrack AI system. The Mauriti project also incorporates TrinaSolar’s Vertex modules.
This success in Latin America reflects TrinaTracker’s strategic approach. The company has invested heavily in the region, expanding its operations and workforce. In 2023, TrinaTracker opened its third factory in Bahia state, Brazil, adding to its existing facilities in China and Spain. The Brazilian factory produces Vanguard 1P trackers and serves as an operations center, providing components and services to projects in Brazil and neighboring countries. This localized presence ensures efficient project delivery and support.
Marcus Fabrino, TrinaTracker’s regional head for Latin America and the Caribbean, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustained growth in the region. He highlighted the establishment of an operations center in Chile, ensuring rapid delivery of tracker spare parts and other services, and announced plans to potentially open a new center in Argentina or Colombia.
To further showcase its latest advancements, TrinaTracker will be exhibiting at the Intersolar South America exhibition in Sao Paulo from August 27 to 29. Visitors can find them at booth W3-40, where they can explore the company’s latest products and services.
