The Middletown South boys lacrosse team put together a strong offensive performance on Tuesday, defeating Barnegat by a score of 12-3. The victory was led by a trio of players who each tallied three goals: Owen Richter, Logan Bailin, and Luke Gaffney.
Jake Sawyer also contributed to the win with a goal and three assists, while Ryan Colacichi added a goal and an assist of his own. Sean Burns was solid in net for Middletown South, making seven saves to help secure the victory.
The win improves Middletown South’s record to 4-3 on the season, while Barnegat falls to 3-6.
Middletown South will look to continue their winning ways when they host Toms River North on Thursday, while Barnegat will try to rebound when they travel to Jackson Liberty on Friday.
