TrueNoord, a specialist regional aircraft lessor, has announced the sale of an ATR 72-212F, MSN 461, to NTE Aviation, LLC, an independently owned aviation trading and distribution company. The 28-year-old turboprop, having reached the end of its technical life, will be dismantled by NTE Aviation, LLC to salvage its engines and spare parts for reuse in the USM market.
Maarten Grift, TrueNoord’s Sales Manager for Africa, Middle East, and CIS, commented on the smooth sales process, attributing it to the existing relationship with NTE Aviation, LLC. He expressed TrueNoord’s appreciation for NTE Aviation LLC’s expertise and looks forward to future collaborations. TrueNoord expressed satisfaction with the performance of the ATR freighter during their ownership period and remains open to potential investments in additional regional freighters in the future.
Grift emphasized the transaction’s alignment with the circular economy, highlighting the reuse and recycling of aircraft parts. He noted that the aircraft has witnessed multiple airline transfers throughout its lifespan and will now contribute to the continued operation of other ATR 72s through its dismantling.
Stephen Spillane, TrueNoord’s Technical Manager, acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the teams involved, particularly NTE Aviation, LLC’s experience in technical due diligence. He expressed gratitude to the aircraft’s previous lessee, Amelia International, as well as ATR-Maintenance for their support in the process.
