TrueNoord, a specialist regional aircraft lessor, has finalized a sale agreement with Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) for an additional eight aircraft. This bundle consists of one Dash 8-400 and seven E190s, expanding TrueNoord’s fleet of modern turboprop and regional jets to 94 aircraft. The distribution of these aircraft includes four operating in the USA, three in Europe, and one in Australia, contributing to a more balanced global presence for TrueNoord. The integration of these eight aircraft is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2024.
This significant sales agreement underscores the strong business relationship between the two lessors, following previous portfolio acquisitions in January and December 2023, totaling 10 and 11 aircraft respectively. Richard Jacobs, Chief Commercial Officer of TrueNoord, expresses enthusiasm about the company’s growth trajectory, emphasizing the value of the partnership with NAC. He looks forward to finalizing this transaction, which aligns with both parties’ strategic expansion plans.
“It is encouraging to see the buoyancy of the regional aviation sector, with values and lease rates continuing on an upward trend. We are already exploring further lessor-to-lessor portfolio trades, and with our secure funding and robust team in place, we are well placed to consider new opportunities as the market continues to open up.” Jacobs stated.
