Trump Blames Biden for Pro-Hamas Protests at Universities Across the Country

Former President Donald Trump has accused President Joe Biden of being responsible for pro-Hamas protests at universities across the country. Trump criticized Biden’s abandonment of Israel and his attempts to appease Hamas, claiming that Biden’s actions have emboldened radical elements on college campuses.

Trump’s remarks came shortly before a court hearing on Tuesday, where he faces charges related to a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016. Trump slammed Biden’s handling of police resources, alleging that excessive police presence at his trial was a sign of weakness in dealing with campus unrest.

“We have more police presence here than anyone’s ever seen, but blocks, you can’t get near this courthouse, and if you have nobody up in a college, where you have very radical people wanting to rip the colleges down, the universities down and that’s a shame,” Trump said.

Trump’s comments echo recent concerns raised by Republican lawmakers about the rise of anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses. In December, the presidents of Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania resigned after facing pressure from Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York over their handling of anti-Israel protests.

The protests have been sparked by Israel’s response to the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas on Oct. 7. Supporters of Hamas have staged protests on campuses across the country, making statements like “resistance is justified” and chanting slogans calling for the destruction of Israel.

A peace will never happen with a guy like this,” Trump concluded, referring to Biden’s handling of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
