Former President Donald Trump drew a massive crowd of supporters to his campaign rally in Wildwood, New Jersey, on Saturday. Despite facing ongoing legal trials in New York, D.C., Georgia, and Florida, Trump addressed a gathering estimated to exceed 40,000 attendees.
Speaking to Fox News, attendees expressed their support for Trump and their belief in his ability to flip the Garden State red in the upcoming midterm elections. They cited concerns about the economy, the state of the country, and their desire to return to the policies implemented during Trump’s presidency.
Rod Delaine, an Amazon factory worker from Staten Island, traveled nearly two-and-a-half hours to attend the rally in support of Trump’s policies. A schoolteacher from New Jersey, who identified herself as Anna, highlighted the economy as her primary motivation for attending. Meanwhile, another supporter named Carlos emphasized the need for a change in direction, citing President Biden’s perceived shortcomings.
Attendees pointed to the large crowd as evidence of Trump’s popularity and potential electoral success in November. The rally served as a testament to Trump’s unwavering support base and his continued influence in the political landscape.
