Former US President and Republican candidate for the 2024 US Presidential elections, Donald Trump, was the target of a shooting incident at an outdoor rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday evening. Trump, in his first account of the incident, stated that a bullet pierced the upper part of his right ear.
According to AFP, Trump described the experience on his Truth Social site, detailing how the gunshot ripped through his skin. He wrote, “I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.”
Trump added, “It is incredible that such an act can take place in our country.” Despite the incident, the 2024 US Presidential candidate was not seriously injured.
