Trump Slams Biden, Harris in Interview with Musk, Calls Migrants ‘Radicals & Terrorists’

In an interview with Elon Musk, former US President Donald Trump continued his assault on his political opponents, making a series of controversial statements about the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Trump claimed that Joe Biden, the incumbent President, was forced out of the race due to a “coup.” He attributed this to Biden’s poor performance in a debate, stating that he had “beaten Biden so bad” that Biden was forced to withdraw. This claim, however, contradicts the official narrative that Biden chose to step down due to health reasons.

Trump also labeled Vice President Kamala Harris, who replaced Biden as the Democratic nominee, as “incompetent” and “as bad as Biden.” He criticized her for not participating in long-form interviews since becoming the nominee, accusing her of lacking transparency.

Further fueling the controversy, Trump referred to illegal migrants as “radicals” and “terrorists in disguise” and vowed to swiftly remove them if elected. He also expressed his desire to eliminate the Department of Education, claiming it was inefficient and detrimental to the quality of education in the US.

Trump took aim at Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, over a state law providing menstrual products in public schools. Trump falsely alleged that the law mandated the placement of tampons in boys’ bathrooms, although the actual law merely states that menstrual products should be accessible to all students who need them.

Throughout the interview, Trump repeatedly criticized the Biden administration, citing the Iran-Israel crisis, the withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the increasing number of illegal migrants as examples of poor leadership. He also praised Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, suggesting the US should implement a similar system.

This interview, which was delayed due to a cyber attack, underscores the highly charged political atmosphere leading up to the 2024 US elections. Trump’s remarks, while inflammatory, have become a hallmark of his political rhetoric and have further intensified the political divide in the US.
