The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) anticipates screening a record number of travelers this summer, with the busiest day projected to be Friday, May 24. Over 18 million passengers and crew members are anticipated to pass through checkpoints between May 23 and May 29, a 6.4% increase from last year. To ensure a smooth travel experience, the TSA offers the following tips: Arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure to allow ample time for screening and security checks. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that can be easily removed for screening. Pack liquids in containers that are 3.4 ounces or less and place them in a clear quart-sized bag. Remove laptops and other large electronic devices from your carry-on bag and place them in a separate bin for screening. Spread out your belongings in the bins so that they can be easily inspected by TSA officers. Be prepared to remove your jacket, shoes, and belt for screening. If you have any questions or concerns, please ask a TSA officer for assistance.
