TTM Awards & Gala 2024: Celebrating Excellence in Maldivian Hospitality

The TTM Awards & Gala, a prestigious event celebrating the Maldives’ thriving hospitality industry, took place on August 22, 2024, at the luxurious Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi. This year’s gala was a highlight, featuring the introduction of four new award categories, expanding the total number to 28. The new categories – Editor’s Choice: Best Spas, Editor’s Choice: Best Restaurants, Editor’s Choice: Best Resort for Sports & Fitness, and TTM Top Producers – Airlines – demonstrate the wide range of excellence and innovative approaches within the Maldives’ tourism sector.

The awards recognized the outstanding contributions of various resorts across diverse facets of hospitality. The Editor’s Choice categories highlighted the unparalleled experiences offered by the Maldives, acknowledging exceptional spas, restaurants, and resorts designed for sports and fitness enthusiasts. The event also celebrated the crucial role of travel partners by introducing the TTM Top Producers category, recognizing leading global players like Agoda, Booking.com, Emirates Holidays, and TUI Group. The newly introduced TTM Top Producers – Airlines category acknowledged the contributions of top airlines, including Aeroflot, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines.

The TTM Awards & Gala 2024 was not merely an awards ceremony; it was a vibrant celebration filled with a lavish dinner, live music, and numerous networking opportunities. The event brought together the leading figures of the travel trade industry, providing a platform for collaboration and the exchange of ideas. This gala served as a part of the larger TTM Maldives, the country’s biggest travel trade show, held from August 21 to 22, 2024. Over 500 travel trade professionals and more than 100 hoteliers participated, engaging in over 3,000 pre-scheduled meetings, further solidifying the Maldives’ position as a leading global travel destination.
