Tubi, the largest free ad-supported streaming service, has made its way onto Apple Vision Pro. The Fox-owned platform, boasting over 250,000 movies and TV episodes, as well as more than 250 live channels, is now accessible on Apple’s VR platform. The addition of Apple Vision Pro brings Tubi’s platform count to nearly three dozen, demonstrating its commitment to reaching viewers across various devices.
The service remains free with ads and is available on Apple Vision Pro in the U.S., Australia, and Canada. Mike Bidgoli, Tubi’s chief product and technology officer, stated in a press release, “Our mission is to ensure all people have access to all the world’s stories. We want to be wherever our viewers want us to be and deliver delight and personalized content to them in every touchpoint. That’s why we’re launching on Apple Vision Pro and remain focused on developing engaging experiences across the 30+ devices we support.”
Tubi’s unique approach in the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) space combines on-demand content with linear channels. The service has achieved impressive growth, reaching nearly 80 million monthly active users and claiming a record-high 2% of total TV viewing time, according to Nielsen Gauge.
Apple Vision Pro, priced at $3,500, is an AR/VR headset available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the U.K. Watching media on Apple Vision Pro creates a truly immersive experience, projecting a large screen directly in front of the viewer’s eyes. The device has received positive feedback from users, who praise its exceptional viewing capabilities.
