Turkish Airlines Embraces NDC Platform and Introduces Distribution Fee
Turkish Airlines is set to introduce a New Distribution Capability (NDC) platform, TKConnect, for travel agents starting October 1. This move marks a shift towards advanced technology and enhanced distribution capabilities within the aviation industry.
TKConnect will provide travel agents with a user-friendly platform featuring exclusive promotional fares, enriched content, differentiated ticket pricing, and enhanced ancillary services. Turkish Airlines aims to offer a superior booking experience and cater to the evolving needs of travel agents and their clients.
Agents can connect to TKConnect via three options: direct connection using NDC APIs, through certified technology partners, or via a web-based booking portal. While legacy content will remain accessible through GDS, exclusive and enhanced content will be exclusively available on TKConnect.
