The Mumbai Crime Branch claims that the perpetrators conducted four reconnaissance missions at Salman Khan’s residence prior to the shooting. They had also kept an eye on Salman Khan’s farmhouse, but because the actor had not visited for several days, they decided to carry out the attack outside his opulent Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra. The Mumbai Crime Branch claims to have confiscated a broken mobile phone from the accused at the time of their arrest and that they were in possession of several phones. The Crime Branch stated that they were also investigating the other phones. They also stated that a second pistol, four magazines, and 17 rounds had been retrieved from Surat’s Tapi River. The sleuths previously stated that they retrieved the handgun from the river on April 22nd and also discovered one of the arrested shooters’, Vicky Gupta, footprint while he was fleeing Mumbai for Bhuj, Gujarat. The Crime Branch reported that the shooters discarded the weapon into the Tapi River near Surat during their escape. The police stated that they were looking for more mobile handsets that they may have dumped in the river and that they had transferred money to the bank on multiple occasions. The two guys on a motorbike fired four rounds outside Galaxy Apartments around 5 a.m. on April 14th before fleeing. Both suspects were seen wearing caps and carrying backpacks on CCTV footage. Kutch Police previously apprehended the two accused and turned them over to the Mumbai Crime Branch. A city court subsequently remanded the two accused to the custody of the Mumbai Crime Branch until April 25th in connection with the shooting incident, according to ANI. Sections 506(2) (threatening), 115 (abetment), and 201 (tampering with evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been added to the case. Mumbai Crime Branch officials have declared gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi wanted in connection with the case, and Anmol Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for the shooting outside Salman Khan’s residence in a Facebook post following the attack.
