Nintendo has announced the addition of two classic racing games to the Nintendo Switch Online service: Extreme-G and Iggy’s Reckin’ Balls. Both games were originally released in the late 1990s and offer a unique and thrilling racing experience.
Extreme-G is a futuristic racing game that was developed by Probe Entertainment and published by Acclaim Entertainment in 1997. The game is set in a distant future where racers dart across a destroyed Earth on plasma-powered motorcycles. The game features twelve roller coaster-like tracks and a variety of offensive and defensive abilities. The Nintendo Switch Online version of Extreme-G supports both local and online multiplayer for up to four players.
Iggy’s Reckin’ Balls, on the other hand, is a more unconventional racing game that was developed by Iguana Entertainment and initially published by Acclaim Entertainment in 1998. The game features ball-shaped characters racing up towering tracks, using grappling hooks to climb platforms and slow down opponents. The Nintendo Switch Online version of the game supports competitive multiplayer for up to four players.
Both Extreme-G and Iggy’s Reckin’ Balls are available to play now on Nintendo Switch Online with the Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass costs $49.99 for one year and also grants access to Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance and Sega Genesis catalogs, as well as the NES, SNES, and Game Boy games from the standard membership.
