Two teenagers were stabbed in a Queens street attack on Monday evening, leading to the arrest of a 14-year-old boy. The incident occurred around 6:45 p.m. near the intersection of 21st Avenue and 74th Street in the Astoria Heights neighborhood.
The victims, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old, sustained stab wounds during the altercation. The 18-year-old suffered a single stab wound to the back, while the 16-year-old sustained a knife wound to the right leg. Both victims were transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center, where they were listed in stable condition.
Responding officers apprehended a 14-year-old suspect in connection with the stabbing. The individual was charged with gang assault, although his name was withheld due to his age being a minor.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear at this time. Investigators are continuing their investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.
