Tyler Herro’s Six 3-Pointers Help Heat Even Series with Celtics

Miami’s Tyler Herro set a franchise playoff record for 3-pointers made, sinking six of his 11 attempts from beyond the arc to lead the Heat to a 111-101 road victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series on Wednesday night. Herro’s 24 points and 14 assists were a major factor in the Heat’s win, as was the team’s 23-of-43 shooting from long distance. Bam Adebayo also played a significant role for Miami, contributing 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Boston’s Jaylen Brown led all scorers with 33 points, while Jayson Tatum finished with 28 points and eight rebounds. However, the Celtics were unable to match Miami’s 3-point shooting, making only 12 of their 32 attempts from deep.

Miami led by just four points at halftime, but they outscored Boston 53-40 in the second half to secure the victory. A 15-3 run in the third quarter gave the Heat a comfortable lead, and they never looked back.

Game 3 of the series will be played in Miami on Saturday.
