The KGISL Coimbatore Open Pro-Am event saw a thrilling competition, with Udayan Mane and his team emerging as champions. The Pune-based professional golfer, accompanied by amateurs J. Vijaya Kumar, V. Venkatesh, and T.R.C Muralidharan, secured the top spot with an impressive score of 51.9.
Close behind, Chandigarh’s professional golfer Jairaj Singh Sandhu and his team, consisting of amateurs Chetan Yellapurkar, Kenichi Takano, and K. Subramaniam, finished in second place with a score of 55.6.
Beyond the team competition, individual accolades were also awarded. Senthil Nallasamy triumphed in the straightest drive competition on Hole No. 5, landing his shot a mere five feet from the center of the fairway. Meanwhile, K. Prabhu Shanker secured the longest drive award on Hole No. 18, sending his drive an impressive 305 yards.
In the closest-to-the-pin contests, V.R. Naren Kumar impressed on Hole 4, landing his shot a mere two feet and seven inches from the hole. Navin Babu, on the other hand, took home the award for Hole 16, with his shot landing nine feet from the pin.
