Stretching across 9.5 kilometers, Baur Reservoir already draws tourists with its serene beauty and exciting boating options, including kayaking, jet skiing, and pontoon rides. To further elevate the experience, the department is implementing a series of improvements. Two new boat jetties will be constructed, along with dedicated selfie spots strategically placed to capture the reservoir’s scenic backdrop. Ramps will be built to ensure easy access to the jetties, promoting inclusivity and convenience for all visitors.
Recognizing the existing boating businesses, the department is also allocating Rs 20 lakh for the construction of additional jetties and parking facilities. This investment aims to optimize operations and encourage more businesses to establish themselves in the area, fostering local economic growth.
In a bold move to attract high-profile tourists, the tourism department is planning the construction of a helipad adjacent to a resort currently operating on a lease near the reservoir. This ambitious addition will provide convenient access for affluent visitors, enabling them to reach the scenic location with ease, bypassing traditional travel constraints. The helipad is strategically planned to complement the reservoir’s growing attractions, including the new jetties, selfie spots, and existing boating options.
