The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension to the deadline for challenging the UGC NET June 2024 answer key. Candidates now have until Saturday, September 14th, 2024, to submit their objections to the provisional answer key released for the exam.
The UGC NET June 2024 exam was conducted from August 27th to September 5th in a Computer-Based-Test (CBT) format across India. The exam was held for a total of 83 different subjects, including popular options like Hindi, English, French, Spanish, sociology, visual arts, mass communication, and journalism. The question papers were available in both English and Hindi mediums, except for the language papers themselves. Each question was worth two marks, and there was no negative marking for incorrect answers.
Candidates who wish to challenge the provisional answer key can do so by visiting the official UGC NET websites: ugcnet.nta.ac.in or ugcnet.ntaonline. A processing fee of ₹ 200 per question challenged must be paid through credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI payment modes until 11:50 PM on September 14th, 2024. It is important to note that challenges submitted without the processing fee will not be considered.
This extension gives candidates additional time to carefully review the answer key and submit any valid objections they may have. The NTA will consider all submitted challenges and may make necessary revisions to the final answer key based on the outcome of the review process.
