UGC NET June 2024: Registration Extended Till May 19

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration date for the UGC NET June 2024 exam till Sunday, May 19, 2024. Candidates who have not yet registered for the exam can visit the official website of NTA UGC at ugcnet.nta.ac.in and apply online. The last date to pay the application fee is May 20, 2024.

The UGC NET exam is conducted twice a year, in June and December. It is a national level exam for determining the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professorship and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges.

To be eligible for the UGC NET exam, candidates must have a master’s degree or equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognized university. General/unreserved candidates must have secured at least 55% marks in their master’s degree, while OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third gender candidates must have secured at least 50% marks. There is no upper age limit for the UGC NET professorship exam, while the age limit for the JRF is 30 years.

The UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted on June 16, 2024. The exam will be held in OMR (Pen & Paper) mode and will consist of two papers. Both papers will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions. There will be no break between papers.
