The UK rail industry is poised for a significant shift, with the launch of Future Labs, a groundbreaking initiative designed to revolutionize the sector through technological innovation. This program, spearheaded by the Department for Transport (DfT), brings together four major train operators – Southeastern, Northern, LNER, and TransPennine Express – with nine promising technology startups, all aiming to drive innovation within the rail network.
