The fifth season of the Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT) is set to unfold in Chennai, promising an exhilarating spectacle of table tennis action. The competition will take place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium from August 22 to September 7, with eight teams battling it out for the championship title.
The 2024 edition marks a significant expansion, with the addition of two new franchises: Ahmedabad SG Pipers and Jaipur Patriots. This brings the total number of participating teams to eight, adding a new dimension to the competition.
The defending champions, Goa Challengers, are determined to retain their title. They have assembled a formidable squad featuring Australian star Yangzi Liu, who was a consistent force in UTT 2023. Joining Liu in the Goa Challengers lineup are captain Harmeet Desai, Yashaswini Ghorpade, Sudhanshu Grover, Sayali Wani, and Italian paddler Mihai Bobocica.
