Christmas may still be months away, but the excitement for advent calendars is already in full swing. Among the many retailers launching their 2024 collections, stationery brand Papier has unveiled its highly anticipated “24 Doors of Desk Delights” calendar. This calendar is a dream come true for stationery lovers, promising a month-long journey filled with charming and useful desk essentials.
The moment I opened the sturdy cardboard box containing my Papier advent calendar, I was immediately captivated. Inside was a beautiful midnight blue box adorned with a stunning silver starry night pattern. The box was tied with a matching blue ribbon, adding a touch of elegance and making me eager to dive in.
The “24 Doors of Desk Delights” calendar is priced at £140 and features products worth a total of £200, making it a great value proposition. One of the first things that caught my eye was the calendar’s unique design. The box opens to reveal seven beautifully presented compartments, with a wide drawer at the bottom and two smaller sections that open outwards, revealing a total of 24 delightful surprises.
As a stationery enthusiast myself, I was thrilled to find that many of the products in the Papier calendar were ones I didn’t already own, and some I’d never used before. But the product that truly stole my heart was a fabulous stamp set with four different stamps, a smaller version of Papier’s new Good Day Planner Stamp Set (RRP £16). It includes a “to do” stamp, a tick, a love heart, and a wink emoji—there’s something incredibly satisfying about stamping a tick next to a completed task on your to-do list.
The calendar also contains two exclusive items that surprised me—a 132 piece jigsaw puzzle and an A6 photo frame, both of which will look adorable sitting on my desk. I love a good jigsaw, and Papier’s is perfect for working on during those much-needed screen breaks.
While the calendar is on the pricier side, I’m incredibly happy with the Papier “24 Doors of Desk Delights” Advent Calendar and believe it’s worth the £140 price tag if you plan to use everything inside. The only thing missing is a 2025 diary, which would have been a delightful addition. But that’s something I’ll have to add to my Christmas wish list instead.
