Unclaimed $25,000-a-Year-for-Life Lottery Ticket Expires May 17

A winning lottery ticket sold in Massachusetts during a “Lucky for Life” drawing last year is about to expire. The winning ticket, which was sold in Natick at the J Convenience Store & Laundromat, matched the first five numbers on the ticket, making it worth $25,000 a year for life.

The winning numbers for the drawing, which was held on May 17, 2023, were 15, 22, 28, 29, and 41, with Lucky Ball: 6.

The last day for the lottery player to come forward to claim their winning ticket will be May 17. If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, it will be turned over to the lottery’s net profit, which is returned to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for distribution to all 351 cities and towns.

Drawings for “Lucky for Life” are held daily at 10:30 p.m., and tickets to play cost $2. Both the top lifetime prizes of $1,000 every day for life and $25,000 a year for life are guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years, but will continue to be paid for the duration of the winner’s lifetime.
