The Union Budget for 2024-25 has allocated a substantial Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment, and skilling initiatives across the country. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, while presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha, highlighted its focus on fostering employment, skill development, supporting MSMEs, and addressing the needs of the middle class.
In a significant move, the government has extended the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana for an additional five years. This initiative, aimed at providing food security, is projected to benefit a vast population of 80 crore individuals.
Echoing the priorities outlined in the interim budget, the minister emphasized the need to prioritize the well-being of the poor, women, youth, and farmers. She underscored the unique opportunity presented to the Modi government to steer India towards a path of robust development and all-encompassing prosperity.
