Union Minister Visits Maa Hingula Temple, Prays for Development
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is also the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Sambalpur in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, attended the historic ‘Hingula Lok Mahotsav’ on Monday. He offered prayers at Maa Hingula Temple in Odisha and expressed his hope that the country and the state would continue to develop.
‘Today is a major festival of Maa Hingula,’ Pradhan said. ‘I came here to offer prayers and take her blessings. I hope that our country and Odisha keep moving on the path of development.’
Former Rajya Sabha MP and BJP’s Dhenkanal candidate Rudra Narayan Pani took the opportunity to criticize the state government led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
‘People’s admiration for ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ is increasing day by day, while the state government has been doing zero work,’ Pani said. ‘There is corruption being done in the name of Odisha CM. People are suffering a lot because of his corruption.’
The Lok Sabha elections in Odisha, which consist of 21 constituencies, will be held in four phases. The voting dates have been scheduled for May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
Dharmendra Pradhan is contesting the elections after a gap of 15 years. In the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) won the maximum number of seats, followed by the BJP and the Congress.
