Union Minister Giriraj Singh has taken a swipe at Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks regarding the allocation of ministries to leaders from Bihar in Narendra Modi’s Council of Ministers. Singh asserted that the people of India and Bihar have given Yadav a ‘jhunjhuna’ (rattle toy), which is why he is making such statements.
Singh’s comments came a day after Yadav expressed his disappointment that no significant ministries were given to Bihar leaders in the new government. He alleged that Bihar leaders were treated unfairly in the portfolio distribution despite their crucial role in forming the government at the Centre.
Singh defended the government’s decision, stating that the portfolio allocation was based on specific reasons and considerations that are beyond Yadav’s understanding. He advised Yadav to continue playing with his ‘jhunjhuna’ and refrain from making such statements.
It is worth noting that the JD (U), led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, became the second-largest ally of the BJP in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections after winning 12 seats. The BJP fell short of a majority in the polls.
