Universal Studios Hollywood Celebrates Pride with Exclusive ‘Pride is Universal’ Event
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, Universal Studios Hollywood will become the vibrant venue for ‘Pride is Universal,’ a unique theme park experience suitable for all ages. The event begins with general admission to the theme park from 4:00 p.m., followed by exclusive extended hours from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
During ‘Pride is Universal,’ attendees will enjoy shorter lines for thrilling rides and attractions, as well as a full lineup of after-hours features. Live DJs and dance areas will provide entertainment throughout the park, while Universal character meet and greets and photo ops will offer memorable moments. Cash bars and drag shows will further enhance the celebratory atmosphere.
A VIP option is available for those seeking an elevated experience. VIP ticket holders will be granted earlier park access at 2:00 p.m., along with Universal Express attraction passes for expedited ride access. They will also enjoy premium main stage views and access to the exclusive LA Pride VIP Lounge.
This year’s ‘Pride is Universal’ event coincides with the 60th anniversary of Universal Studios Hollywood’s world-famous Studio Tour. To mark this milestone, guests are invited to step off the tram and onto a historic film set for immersive photo opportunities. The Studio Tour will also feature nostalgic additions and updates, along with retro-themed food, drink, and merchandise throughout the park.
The main stage will spotlight a lineup of talented performers, including DJ Brynn Taylor and stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race such as Morgan McMichaels, Kornbread Jetè, Alexis Mateo, and Chad Michaels, the winner of All Stars Season 1. Additionally, this year’s event introduces the ‘Pride Prom,’ a safe and inclusive event for those who missed their own high school prom. Running from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. at Universal Plaza, the prom will feature live DJs, themed decor, photo ops, and a host with live performances.
Aligning with Father’s Day weekend, the event will include an early hours Kids Club from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Kids Club will offer live music, park character meet and greets, and family-friendly activities.
‘Pride is Universal’ is open to all ages, with photo ID required for cash bar access. Tickets are now available for $145, $10 less than the Front Gate price. A portion of the ticket sales will support community programs run by Christopher Street West (CSW).
