The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the exam schedule for the recruitment to 323 vacancies for the post of Personal Assistant in the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Ministry of Labour & Employment. Scheduled for July 7, 2024, the exam will be held on Sunday in the Forenoon session, from 09.30 A.M to 11.30 A.M.
Candidates are required to report to the test venue 90 minutes (11⁄2 hour) before the scheduled commencement of the test. Entry into the test venue will be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the recruitment test, i.e., 09.00 A.M. It’s mandatory for candidates to bring a hard copy (print out) of their e-admit card to the test hall for admission. Failure to produce the e-admit card will result in disqualification from the test.
The e-Admit cards for the examination will be released one week prior to the examination date. The examination will be two hours long, with all questions carrying equal marks. It will consist of objective type questions with multiple choices of answers, primarily in English and Hindi. There will be a penalty for wrong answers, with every wrong answer incurring a deduction of one-third of the marks assigned to that question.
The syllabus for the test covers topics including English Language, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning & Computer Aptitude. The Recruitment Test will carry a weightage of 300 marks, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance for the Skill Test(s), which is mandatory but qualifying in nature. Final selection will be based on merit in the recruitment test.
