To ensure a smooth examination experience, candidates must bring all the necessary documents to the exam hall. This includes a printed copy of their UPSC CSE Admit Card 2024, two recent passport-sized photographs, and a valid, government-issued photo ID proof. Examples of acceptable photo IDs include the original Aadhaar card, driving license, voter ID card, PAN card, or passport.

The UPSC has outlined a strict set of guidelines for the exam day. Here are some key points to remember:
* Candidates are advised to thoroughly verify the information on their admit card, including their name, photograph, and QR code. Any discrepancies should be promptly reported to the UPSC.
* Both a printed copy of the admit card and the original photo ID mentioned on the card are mandatory for entry into the examination hall for each session.
* It’s important to exercise caution while filling out the OMR answer sheet. Any omissions, mistakes, or discrepancies, particularly regarding the roll number and test booklet series code, can lead to the disqualification of the answer sheet.
* Be aware that entry into the exam venue will be closed 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of each exam session. Entry will be strictly denied after the closing time.
* A penalty system (negative marking) is in place for incorrect answers marked by candidates in both papers.
* Only answers marked with a black ballpoint pen will be evaluated.
* Candidates whose admit card photographs are unclear or lack their name and date of photograph must bring a photo ID along with two fresh passport-sized photographs (with name and date) for each session, along with a signed undertaking.
