The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced that the deadline for submitting the Detailed Application Form (DAF) 1 for the UPSC Civil Services Main exam is today, July 12th, 2024, at 6 PM. Candidates who successfully cleared the preliminary exam and qualified for the UPSC Civil Services Main Exam 2024 are required to fill out the DAF on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
According to an official notice released by the UPSC, all candidates must log in using their ‘One Time Registration (OTR)’ account on the Commission’s website to access and complete their Detailed Application Form I. The notice clearly states that the candidature of any candidate who fails to submit a fully completed DAF by the 6 PM deadline will be automatically cancelled.
The official notice emphasizes, “After logging in through OTR, candidates must complete all required details and entries in the DAF-I, upload copies of all relevant documents, and finally submit the form no later than 6.00 pm on 12.07.2024. Failure to submit a complete DAF-I by 6.00 pm on 12.07.2024 will result in the cancellation of candidature, and the candidate will not be permitted to appear in the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024.”
To fill out the DAF I forms, follow these steps:
* Visit the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
* Click on the activated OTR link available on the homepage.
* Log in to your account.
* Fill out the DAF form completely.
* Click on the submit button.
* Download the confirmation page for your records.
The Civil Services Main Examination 2024 is scheduled for September 20, 2024. Only candidates who have successfully passed the preliminary exam will be eligible to participate in the UPSC Civil Services 2024 Mains exam. The exam consists of a written test and an interview/personality test.
The application fee for the UPSC CSE Main Examination is ₹ 200. However, female candidates and those belonging to the SC, ST, and PwBD categories are exempt from paying this fee.
The UPSC prelims results were announced on July 1, 2024. A total of 14,624 candidates cleared the exam from a pool of 1.3 million applicants, according to reports from one of the UPSC coaching centers.
