UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024: Expected Soon, Check Details Here

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to announce the results of the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam 2024 in the near future. Aspirants who took the exam can access their results on the official UPSC website, upsc.gov.in, once the commission makes them public.

The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations 2024 were held across India on June 16th at various designated exam centers. Over 13.4 lakh candidates participated in the exam, which was conducted in two shifts. The first shift covered General Studies, while the second shift focused on the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).

The General Studies (Paper I) component included topics such as Indian Polity, Geography, History, Indian Economy, Science and Technology, Environment and Ecology, and International Relations. The Civil Services Aptitude Test (Paper II) encompassed reasoning and analytical questions, reading comprehension tasks, and decision-making questions. Both papers consisted of objective-type questions with four options for each and were worth a total of 400 marks.

Candidates who successfully clear the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear in the next phase, the UPSC Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2024, which is scheduled for September 2024. This will be followed by the Interview or Personality Test.

To clear the UPSC CSE Prelims examination, a candidate must score a minimum of 33% in General Studies Paper 2 and meet the overall qualifying marks in General Studies Paper 1.

The UPSC cutoff and answer key will not be released with the results; they will be made public after the final result declaration.

The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations aim to fill 1,056 vacancies in various central government services and departments, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Among these vacancies, 40 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Persons with Benchmark Disability Category.
