The United States has highlighted India’s commitment to continue collaborating for a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, following a meeting between US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt M. Campbell and top Indian officials in New Delhi.

During the meeting, Campbell engaged with Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and Deputy National Security Advisor Vikram Misri. Discussions focused on strengthening the US-India partnership and exploring ways to enhance regional and multilateral coordination across the Indo-Pacific. This includes efforts through the Quad partnership, a strategic alliance involving the US, India, Japan, and Australia.

US Department of State Spokesperson Matthew Miller, addressing a daily briefing, conveyed that both Campbell and Kwatra expressed their intention to continue working together to ensure a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

Additionally, Campbell extended congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government on their victory in the recent national elections, recognizing the participation of the Indian people in the largest democratic elections in history. The BJP-led NDA secured a third consecutive term for Modi, winning 293 seats in the Lok Sabha election.
