US Stocks Mixed, Energy Gains While Tech Declines

Asian markets closed mostly higher on Monday. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.66%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 1.06%, China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.04%, and India’s BSE Sensex gained 0.75%.

US Economic Data

US new orders for manufactured durable goods increased by 9.9% in July, compared to a revised 6.9% plunge in the prior period.
