US Warns Pakistan Over Potential Iran Business Deals

The United States has cautioned Pakistan about the possibility of facing sanctions if it moves forward with business deals with Iran. This warning was issued during a three-day visit to Pakistan by Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. “We will continue to disrupt and take action against proliferation networks and activities related to the procurement of weapons of mass destruction wherever they occur,” said Vedant Patel, Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the US State Department. The United States remains committed to preventing the proliferation of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction. The country will continue to closely monitor the situation and take appropriate action to ensure that its interests and those of its allies are protected.
