Uttar Pradesh is embarking on a strategic mission to become India’s premier tourist destination, and its latest initiative involves a nationwide campaign to showcase its diverse attractions at major airports. Known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant festivals, diverse wildlife, and stunning landscapes, Uttar Pradesh aims to capture the attention of travelers from across the country and beyond.
The ‘Brand UP’ campaign will initially launch at five prominent airports, beginning with Delhi and Mumbai. At Delhi’s T3 domestic terminal, 60 display systems will be strategically placed in arrival and departure areas, with additional installations at T2 and T1 terminals. In Mumbai, 56 display systems will highlight ‘Brand UP’ at the T2 domestic and international arrival terminals, with further expansion to departure terminals. Similar displays will be set up at airports in Kolkata, Coimbatore, and Indore, amplifying the visibility of Uttar Pradesh’s tourism offerings.
Recognizing the critical role of tourism in driving economic growth and job creation, the Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has identified this sector as a priority. This campaign represents a deliberate strategy to tap into the sector’s potential and establish Uttar Pradesh as a major hub for tourism, contributing to the state’s ambitious goal of becoming a trillion-dollar economy.
This strategic move goes beyond simply showcasing the state’s attractions. It aims to generate awareness, inspire travel plans, and ultimately, attract a significant influx of tourists to Uttar Pradesh. The campaign’s success will hinge on effectively communicating the state’s unique offerings and creating a compelling narrative that resonates with potential visitors.
