The Uttar Pradesh government has implemented a series of transfers within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) on Saturday. Notably, the District Magistrate of Ayodhya, Nitish Kumar, has been moved to a new position as the Managing Director of Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. Replacing him in Ayodhya is Chandra Vijay Singh, who previously served as the District Magistrate of Sonbhadra.
In other key appointments, Badri Nath Singh, who held the position of Special Secretary at the Raj Bhavan, has been appointed as the new District Magistrate of Sonbhadra. The DM of Budaun, Manoj Kumar, has been shifted to the role of Secretary for the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, with Nidhi Srivastav taking over as the new DM of Budaun.
Additionally, Divya Mittal has been appointed the new District Magistrate of Deoria, replacing Akhand Pratap Singh, who will now assume Mittal’s previous position at the UP State Rural Road Development Authority. The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Vice Chairman, Indra Mani Tripathi, has been assigned the role of the new District Magistrate of Auraiya, replacing Neha Prakash, who has been appointed as the Director of Training and Employment in Uttar Pradesh. Finally, Prathmesh Kumar, formerly the Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the new Vice Chairman of the LDA.
