Uttar Pradesh Launches Tourism Fellowship Scheme for Graduates

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched the Chief Minister Tourism Fellowship Scheme, a program designed to empower young graduates and bolster the state’s tourism industry. This initiative targets individuals up to 40 years of age who have earned a graduate degree with a minimum of 60% marks. Selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of INR 40,000 to support their work and travel experiences within the tourism sector.

The scheme’s primary objectives are twofold: to enhance the quality and reach of Uttar Pradesh’s tourism offerings and to create valuable employment opportunities for young professionals. The fellowship is intended to be a year-long program, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on the fellow’s performance.

Applicants with academic qualifications in fields like BBA, MA, MPhil, PhD, Tourism and Travel Management, MBA in Hospitality, Tourism, and Travel, as well as PG Diplomas in related areas such as Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, Tourism, and Archaeology, are encouraged to apply.

The application process is straightforward and can be completed online through the official UP tourism website, uptourism.gov.in. The scheme offers a unique opportunity for graduates to gain practical experience, contribute to the development of the state’s tourism sector, and secure a foothold in the industry. This program underscores the government’s commitment to empowering young professionals and fostering sustainable growth within the tourism sector of Uttar Pradesh.
