Uttar Pradesh Man Fined for Driving Audi Without Helmet

A man in Uttar Pradesh was fined 1,000 for driving his Audi car without a helmet. Bahadur Singh Parihar, a resident of Jhansi, received the challan, which was issued by the Uttar Pradesh traffic police. Parihar, who is the president of a truckers’ union, was surprised to receive the challan as he was driving his car, not a two-wheeler.

Upon visiting the Parivahan website, Parihar discovered that the fine was imposed because he was not wearing a helmet while driving. Despite the fact that the challan featured a photo of a two-wheeler, the vehicle category mentioned in it was ‘motor car’, as per the challan image shared by NDTV.

Parihar raised the matter with police officials, but they said they could not look into it until after the general elections. As a result, Parihar has chosen to wear a helmet while driving his car to avoid further fines. He has become a center of attraction on roads and other places due to his unusual driving attire.

The incident highlights the need for traffic police to be more careful when issuing challans. It also raises questions about the accuracy of the data being used by the Parivahan website. While the fine issued to Parihar was clearly a mistake, it is important to remember that wearing a helmet is always a good idea, regardless of the type of vehicle you are driving.
