Uttarakhand State Disaster Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman confirmed the casualties and infrastructure damage, stating that the footpath in Kedarnath has been obstructed. He further reported that 100 other routes are blocked, with ongoing efforts to clear them.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has taken stock of the situation, inspecting the affected areas and holding a review meeting with officials at the State Emergency Operation Centre. He emphasized the ongoing rescue and relief operations, stating that teams worked through the night to relocate people to safety. CM Dhami reassured the public of his constant communication with the local administration and directed the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams to remain on high alert.

Relief and rescue operations are ongoing in severely affected areas, including Rambada, Bhimbali, and Jakhaniyali. The Chief Minister ensured that the government will readily sanction funds for evacuation, relief, rescue, reconstruction, and rehabilitation efforts.
District Magistrates were instructed to coordinate locally and respond swiftly to any disaster, prioritizing public safety. In anticipation of the heavy rainfall, the Uttarakhand government issued a safety advisory for Chardham Yatra pilgrims, urging them to delay their journeys and remain in safe locations until weather conditions improve.
