Uttoxeter Set for Exciting Racing Action on Wednesday

Uttoxeter will host a thrilling day of racing on Wednesday, and Sky Sports Racing will bring all the action live to viewers. The main event of the day is a handicap race that will see Anti Bridgie make her debut in this category. Having won twice over hurdles and once over fences at Warwick, Anti Bridgie is a strong contender as she steps up to a three-mile handicap.

Good Work, another horse from Anti Bridgie’s stable, remains without a win after 21 starts but has an impressive record of ten runner-up finishes. With William Shanahan claiming 5lb, Good Work should not be underestimated. Top Ville Ben is a seasoned campaigner with nine victories from 43 starts and will be hoping to find this race easier than his recent fifth-place finish at Haydock in March. Hudson De Grugy is another horse to watch, especially if he can replicate his third-place finish at Sandown last month.

Harry Derham’s Il Va De Soi recently broke his maiden status over hurdles at Chepstow and is expected to show further improvement despite an 8lb weight increase. Olly Murphy’s Damarta has only had three starts in handicap company but showed promise with a third-place finish at Huntingdon last time out and could be ready for a longer distance. Gary Moore’s Cloud Dancer is an intriguing runner making his handicap debut with a first-time visor fitted.

The Fergal O’Brien-trained Billams Legacy will carry top weight under Tom Broughton and will be in the mix after finishing runner-up in his last four starts. Harriet Dickin saddles Walkinthecotswolds, who seeks her first success over hurdles with Ben Poste in the saddle. After finishing second in her last two starts, she has a good chance as she drops back to the minimum trip. Four-year-old Ma Belle Artiste is yet to win in three starts over hurdles but looks well-handicapped based on her flat form as she enters handicap company under Tom Bellamy.

Don’t miss all the excitement of the races at Uttoxeter, live on Sky Sports Racing on Wednesday, April 24th. Stay tuned for the latest horse racing news, interviews, and features from Sky Sports Racing.
