Teddy joins Vakkaru Maldives from Hyatt, where he served as General Manager for six years, overseeing operations for multiple Alila Hotels across Southeast Asia. This experience, coupled with his previous roles at prestigious properties like the Ritz Carlton Bali, Shangri-La Hotels in the United Arab Emirates, Parrot Cay, and Sailrock Resort in Turks & Caicos, showcases Teddy’s ability to lead and excel in diverse, high-profile environments.
His journey through the hospitality industry began in 2001 at the Ritz Carlton Bali, a testament to his early passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences. In 2003, he ventured beyond Indonesia, joining Shangri-La Hotels in the UAE, where he honed his skills in guest relations and service excellence. His expertise blossomed further during his time in the Caribbean, where he played a critical role in the pre-opening preparations of Parrot Cay and Sailrock Resort.
Throughout his career, Teddy has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive operational excellence and enhance guest satisfaction. His diverse background in managing both resort and city hotels equips him with the multifaceted skills necessary to navigate the unique demands of the luxury hospitality industry.
